Dr. Taylor, a neuropsychologist with experience providing neuro-psychological and psychoeducational assessments for adults, as well as experience providing therapy for adults centered on coping with acute or chronic illnesses, is the Director of Assessment Services at iHEAL. He oversees all of our assessments for children and adults in this role as we offer psychoeducational testing for learning disabilities and deficits and psychological evaluations for return to work/school, weight loss surgery, and fitness for duty assessments.
He also offers rehabilitation counseling and clinical supervision and serves as a scientific member of our Institutional Review Board (IRB).
He utilizes a biopsychosocial perspective grounded in an evidence-based, eclectic approach that combines cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT),and motivational interviewing (MI), mixed organically with person-centered techniques (e.g., warmth, genuineness, empathy).
His research interests pertain to the sociodemographic disparities in systemic and brain health outcomes among minorities, with his work primarily focuses on the African American community.
