Sequoia is a masters-level counseling intern from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Education with a focus in Clinical Mental Health. Sequoia offers a holistic approach to therapy by creating a safe and non-judgemental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings. She uses evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavioral analysis (ABA), and mindfulness-based approaches.
Sequoia is passionate about working with children and young adults who have been diagnosed with autism. Her clinical interests include anxiety, life transitions, coping skills, and self-esteem, specifically among children, and adolescents in marginalized communities.
Beyond clinical work, Sequoia enjoys music, attending concerts and festivals, and spending quality time with friends, her sister, her dog, and her guinea pig.
